The store scheduling was great - confirmed for an open date within minutes. My technician was thorough and patient in explaining and working through the resolve needed for my furnace problem. He was courteous and good-natured, which helped to calm my frazzled state over a unexpected HVAC repair. The tech took care in my home not to create or leave a mess. Finally, & more importantly, I felt that rate was fair and I didn't feel cheated at the end of it all. I was also pleased that I could put the expense on my Home Depot card. I'd rather not need it, but if I run into another problem, I would gladly use them again.
To reset a gas furnace, start by making sure the pilot light has been extinguished. Next, turn down the room thermostat to its coldest setting, and cut the furnace's power from your home's circuit breaker. Cut the main gas supply to the furnace, but make sure that the gas line that leads to the furnace pilot is on. Light a match, and use it to ignite the jet of the furnace's pilot flame. Then restore the furnace power and main gas supply, and press and hold the furnace reset button for roughly half a minute.
Hydronic heating is a newer technology that is water or liquid based and uses green technologies to heat or cool your home. Water (or an alternative liquid), is heated and then sent through a network of tubing or piping that sits under the floors. This system literally heats the floor, and the heat then rises up to heat the room. Imagine no more cold floors on those chilly winter mornings! Hydronic heating is an efficient method of delivering heat cheap and leaves no carbon footprint.
The main purpose of your furnace filter is to ensure that none of the additional materials your fans pull back into the unit - such as hair and dust - actually damage the furnace or its parts. In the process, it also improves air quality in your home. Some annual inspections will include changing and cleaning this part of the unit. That said, you can also clean or change your furnace filteryourself. Costs for new filters range based on brand, but tend to be around $30.
Saving you money – When you have an emergency furnace repair, one concern that comes to mind is how much it will cost to repair your furnace. Many companies will charge an additional fee to come to your home in the middle of the night or on the weekend. That’s not us. We never charge an emergency fee. Keeping your repair costs affordable is of utmost importance to us.

The cost to replace your gas furnace will vary based on the type and size of furnace you select, labor and installation costs, and any repairs your HVAC system may need. Nationally, average HVAC prices for a heating specialist range between $1,800 and $2,500. It’s important to select the right size gas furnace for your heating needs. A furnace that’s too small won’t heat your house properly, while a furnace that’s too large will run inefficiently, cycling on and off and likely breaking down sooner. HVAC specialists calculate your exact heat needs by measuring your home and incorporating variables such as the regional climate and your home’s level of insulation. Retail pricing for gas furnaces can range from $650 up to $3,000 and more. The higher the AFUE (annual fuel utilization efficiency) rating of the furnace, the more efficient it is at turning fuel into heat and the lower your carbon footprint and utility bill will be. HVAC installation costs are often based on an hourly rate and can range from under $50 to over $100 per hour, depending on the company and the furnace being installed. Higher-end furnaces cost more to install because they require added labor and expertise. For a typical installation, it might take two HVAC installation pros one day or less to remove your old furnace and replace it with a new one.
"Very impressed. Returned call within 24 hours. They came out the same day I spoke with them and made the repair within 25 minutes. Very low service call fee. I had another repair service out two weeks earlier and after 3 service calls and the central air still not fixed and temperatures in the high 90's, it was such a relief to have a company identify the problem, have the necessary part with them and fix the problem."
